Training centre pursues new aviation-sector partnership model
In an article in today's Engineering News Denel's Centre for
Learning and Development (DCLD) is discussed. It says: "Aviation
education provider the Denel Centre for Learning Development’s (DCLD’s)
move towards a more sustained support strategy for its students will
see the centre engaging directly with aircraft maintenance
organisations (AMOs), inviting them to become strategic long-term
partners.
“True investment in one’s students involves far more than merely
completing the training curriculum and then passing them on to the next
group of instructors. It should rather comprise a long-term approach to
their education, providing ongoing support and guidance,” says the
DCLD.
DCLD GM Eric Khoza supports this proactive and
prolonged approach and has ensured that it is currently being driven by
Denel in partnership with key AMOs, with the
intention to equip DCLD
learners with a balanced and successful platform for careers in the
industry."
